Ms. Ida Morton of GI Jane and Associates has experienced an immediate level of success in the contracting process and continues to engage her firm with supportive services made available through the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

Ida Morton has participated in various training sessions such as NCDOT’s Entrepreneurial Development Program and other technical skills coaching.

Ms. Morton’s level of engagement and success has made her a regular presence in NCDOT’s supportive programs, once such program is the Team Nimbus Project.

Team Nimbus Project

The Team Nimbus Project will provide participants with guidance and assistance in meeting the day-to-day challenges of business ownership.

Clients for this program were selected based on their level of development and their commitment to doing business with NCDOT.

This program will bring together eight trucking firms in a very structured environment, the participants in the program will be trained and coached on the tactical skills of getting  and keeping clients while also receiving assistance with general business management issues.

After the business owner has developed and used the skills, the final months focus on fine-tuning execution in a supportive coaching environment where they benefit from the experience and perspective of their fellow class participants as well as the Team Nimbus coaching staff.
